Historical Fictions: Louis Riel

Colin visited Valley View Public School several times to teach the grade 8s a history lesson about Louis Riel. He taught them how to write historical fiction films, about shot angles and focal length, and about writing storyboards. The students each wrote their own historical fiction film during the Louis Riel saga in the mid-late 1800s. Each film was stitched together to create one film. This isn’t the entire Louis Riel story, just some pieces the students were inspired by.

We filmed everything at the Pickering Museum Village which was the perfect setting for our film. Enjoy!
