Durham Region is more famous than it’s citizens may realize. Lots of spaces across the 8 municipalities in Durham have been immortalized in films and television shows. So Durham Region is creating a new website to help promote film tourism. The site has two sections: one is targeted at film crews who are scouting new areas for their production and the other one is for the local residents who want to visit the locations they see in movies and TV shows. So they hired Empty Cup Media to visit these spots to take photos and videos to help shine light on some of our most film worthy locations. Colin visited Parkwood Estate, the Abilities Centre, the Town of Goodwood, Footsteps Foley Studio up in Uxbridge and many other spots looking for landscape shots and to speak with industry professionals with his 4K camera. Then he edited this video together with some neat photo parallaxing to make Durham look like a movie set.
The website this video will live on is currently being developed and the link will be posted here when the site is officially live. Until then, enjoy this highlight reel of many of the film worthy spots here in Durham Region.
