My Vivid Life Webseries

Overview

Empty Cup has been working on a show pilot from 2014 – 2017 called “My Vivid Life” with Shayne Traviss from www.vividlife.me. The show features Shayne, the hosts of the show, seeking to improve himself by talking with experts, visiting unique places and putting himself in positions for mental growth. Over the four years of filming we traveled to South Africa, Ireland, King City and Toronto and we covered topics like courage, connection, compassion and money management. Our ultimate goal is for this show idea and style to be picked up by a distributor or network who is looking for us to make similar content.

Show Synopsis

My Vivid Life is a 15+/- minute lifestyle show featuring Shayne Traviss. Shayne has led an extremely challenging life; from abuse, to bulling, to chasing an ideal of success that wasn’t the healthiest. He struggled to find himself and his place in the world. While life’s challenges can shut some people down, Shayne uses each experience to learn more about himself and integrates the lessons to live a vivid life.

Shayne speaks with advisers, experts, therapists and guides during his quest to learn more about himself and how to apply each lesson to his life. Some episodes include traveling to Ireland and South Africa to experience authentic cultural practices. Viewers will see parts of themselves in Shayne and be able to relate to the lessons he is learning.

My Vivid Life is a warm and inspirational web series that invites us all to let go of conditioning, break through resistance and to live life ‘all in’.

Episodes

Equine Therapy:
Shayne Traviss visits a equine therapist Jennifer Schramm for a one-on-one session. He begins the session thinking it’s a lesson on courage, but after 10 minutes of silence in the round pen with the horse, Shayne learns a comforting lesson about himself. This episode was screened at the 2017 Muskoka Independent Film Festival.

Money – A Love Story:
Money is often left out of the conversation, which is why Shayne Traviss asked author of “Money: A Love Story” Kate Northrup about the topic. The two sit down and discuss the connection between our self-worth and money.

Journey Through Ireland:
Rush, rush rush – Shayne Traviss felt like he was just going through the motions of life without stopping to appreciate any of it. He joined The Divine Destination Collection on their trip to Ireland so he can learn how to connect with his surroundings.

South Africa:
Shayne challenges himself to overcome some of his fears by immersing himself in the natural outback of South Africa.
