17 Apr Backdoor Mission Accessiblity
The Backdoor Mission in Oshawa is a drop in centre for people to get something to eat and to socialize with other people from the area. They applied for a “Barrier Busters” grant through the Rick Hansen Foundation to upgrade their two main doors to have automatic openers. They were fortunate enough to receive the grant for the installation and for the documentation of the process. That’s where we come in. We filmed the door being installed and some of the drop in sessions to speak with some of the clients to see what they feel about the upgrade. Then we stitched it all together into this short video about the impact of the grant.
