Why The Long Face?

Why The Long Face?

Carla and Colin are filmmakers to their core. So every year they participate in at least one film challenge. In the past, they have made documentaries in 5 days  and been successful in placing in the competition. This film was for a ‘feel good’ competition, and while we were unsuccessful in placing, we still feel the film shares a great story.

Equine therapy is a form of talk therapy while using horses. There’s no riding involved; horses reflect back our true self, and with Jennifer Schramm’s help, clients can have a peak into themselves like never before.

The film is called “Why the long face?” because of the joke:
‘A horse walks into a bar, and the bartender says “why the long face?”‘ (horses have long faces all the time…. ba doom ching)

But the joke also has a theme of therapy to it with the bartender asking why his client looks sad. People could be curious as to why horses are used for this type of therapy as well.
