Girl Talk Empowerment is an annual event that brings young girls age 11-18 from all across Ontario to empower them to become world changers. The event features guest speakers, YouTube celebrities, musicians, Zoomba, tuck shops and a lot of high energy from hundreds of eager minds. It’s a day of smiles, inspiration and an excuse to wear as much pink as possible.
Katie Zeppieri, the founder of Make Your Mark and organizer of the event, has hired us two years in a row to record all of the performances/talks as well as to edit a highlight reel of the event. Colin had an on site tech meeting with Katie a few weeks prior to the event to plan the video shots, interviews, and key moments to capture the CP24 live broadcast that was happening in the morning. We used three cameras between two shooters to capture the live performances and to collect enough broll to create the sizzle reel. After all the editing was done, we sent Katie 17 finished videos to post to her social media pages and to share with the performers.
