13 Jan Create Your Life – Short Film
Every year we pack up our trusty SUV and drive 4,000+ kms to Nelson, B.C. where we teach film camp for a month to 8-16 year old students. In 2019, we spent 17 days driving out west with our 5 month old baby Draven. We camped, we cabined, we hoteled; it rained, it snowed, it shone; and we drove, and drove and drove. Naturally we filmed our adventures with our smartphones and work cameras and shot over 6 hours of footage that Colin edited down into a 4:30 short film. The film titled ‘Create Your Life’ was submitted to the TVO Short documentary challenge in the fall is 2019 and while it was short listed to the top 10, it did not place top 3. Regardless, we have this beautiful video to remind us how young Draven was on his first cross country adventure.
