We love it when audio drives a story. So when we got our hands on a professional audio field mixer and a huge fuzzy microphone, we were chomping at the bit to use it. So when Jessica Field told us about her monoliths art exhibit, an installation that makes sounds, we were very excited. Filmed at the Station Gallery in Whitby, these 3 black, giant, rectangular cases stand in the middle of the room making all kinds of weird sounds. The visuals inside the cases were wacky to look at first, but as Jessica told us the deeper meaning behind all of the scenes, our minds were blown.
This video is a rare piece that has no music added. All the sounds are naturally produced by Jessica’s Monoliths. Enjoy!
