Roller Derby is back with a fury. The Durham Region Roller Derby (DRRD) holds “fresh meat” training camps to recruit fresh blood to the track. Empty Cup Media’s very own Carla Sinclair – aka: “Scarlita” – has been a derby girl since February, 2011 and has been loving it ever since! Hard hits, wild stockings, booty shorts, fancy roller skates, unique names and a whole lot of bruises are all things that come with the title of “derby girl”.
